Position overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, maintainable Java full-stack applications.
• Build Java microservices and event-driven solutions using Kafka for asynchronous communication.
• Lead and contribute to AWS modernization projects, migrating monolithic systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services; use Redis Cache for performance and low-latency access.
• Work with Oracle Database and other data stores for data modeling and optimization; design solutions with AWS native services.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and QA to deliver secure, high-performing solutions following security, scalability, and reliability practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and mentor junior developers.

Experience and technical requirements

• The summary says a minimum of 5 years of experience; the detailed required-skills section states 10+ years of hands-on Java development.
• Requires Java full-stack expertise, including backend and frontend integration; Spring or Spring Boot experience is preferred.
• Requires strong microservices and REST API experience, at least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience, and proven AWS modernization project experience.
• Requires event-driven architecture and Kafka knowledge, AWS native services experience, strong Oracle Database experience, and hands-on Redis Cache experience.
• Requires Docker and Kubernetes experience. DevOps/CI-CD pipeline and Agile/Scrum experience are listed.
• Requires AWS security knowledge, including IAM, encryption, and VPC, and experience in high-volume distributed systems.
• Requires analytical problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent work, and mentoring abilities.

Education and certification

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certifications are a plus.

AWS and data technologies

• AWS native services listed include EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, and MSK (Kafka on AWS).
• Good knowledge of other relational and/or NoSQL databases is also sought.
