Implementations Team Lead

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, train, develop, and retain the Implementation and Delivery team; allocate work and ensure onboarding quality.
• Sponsor client onboardings and participate hands-on in delivery.
• Run one-to-ones and biannual performance reviews and facilitate team learning and career growth.
• Identify and initiate improvements within the role and wider team.
• Apply Clearwater Way onboarding methods and the Client Engagement Model.
• Develop and track project, people, and process metrics, including satisfaction, time-to-value, go-live SLAs, retention, gross margin, automation, and attrition.
• Lead steering committees and implementation reviews and serve as an onboarding escalation point.
• Ensure smooth handover of onboarded clients to steady-state servicing.
• Balance people and project management with delivery execution.
• Use Salesforce, Workday, and Power BI to monitor team performance.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 4 years of directly applicable finance or fintech experience.
• At least 2 years of people management, mentoring, or training experience.
• Project delivery or management experience with external clients from initiation through completion.
• Experience delivering measurable weekly and monthly KPIs.
• Knowledge of securities and financial markets; exposure to derivatives, fixed income, structured products, or alternatives is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal and client audiences.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, and VBA, plus Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, organization, problem-solving, and composure under pressure.
• Investment accounting or investment operations solutions knowledge is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
