The Financial Data Analyst monitors and maintains asset data for Clearwater clients.
The role advises internal and external stakeholders on security master, reference data, asset classes, corporate actions, cash flows, analytics, pricing, amortization, performance, derivatives, and alternative assets.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries.
- Plan, develop, and assess data elements; validate accuracy through manual and automated processes.
- Evaluate data vendors and compare investment data with third-party market sources.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and collaborate with clients and prospects on data solutions.
- Maintain real-time securities data and support reference-data products.
- Document workflows and keep procedures current.
- Perform basic SQL tasks and analyze information flow between accounting and custody systems.
- Develop knowledge of fixed income, equities, corporate bonds, and bond issuance procedures.
- Maintain relationships with data providers, clients, and service delivery managers; escalate spending queries and follow risk and control checks.
Required skills and education
- Proficiency in advanced Excel, SQL, Microsoft Office, and reference-data tools.
- Strong computer, documentation, attention-to-detail, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn, and adapt to change.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a business-related field.
