HVAC Technician role focused on electro-mechanical maintenance and operation of factory cooling and air-conditioning systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain air-cooled chillers, central A/C, package units, air handling units, and cold rooms.
- Ensure proper chilled-water flow and temperature and factory air conditioning.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical HVAC faults, including in YORK chillers and Mycom screw compressors.
- Maintain and troubleshoot split air conditioners.
- Monitor chilled-water system accessories, including pumps, valves, sensors, compressors, evaporators, condensers, VFD drives, and oil separators.
- Repair industrial-building air-conditioning and heating systems using appropriate tools and methods.
- Follow HVAC operating principles and safety practices.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years as a chiller/HVAC technician in a major industry.
- Specialty Fat Margarine or edible-oil industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with YORK chillers and Mycom low-temperature screw compressors.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting split air conditioners.
- Strong HVAC principles, equipment, and safety knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
