HVAC Technician

Job location

• The position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara.

Position summary

HVAC and refrigeration maintenance

• Inspect HVAC and refrigeration equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair split units, FCUs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Monitor hotel temperature and humidity; inspect system components and repair refrigerant leaks and other faults.
• Clean and maintain filters, coils, drain pans, ducts, and other HVAC components.
• Respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns, especially in guest rooms and critical hotel areas.
• Maintain refrigerators, freezers, and cold rooms where applicable.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new HVAC equipment.

Records, safety, and coordination

• Record preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
• Keep tools, equipment, and spare parts in good condition and safely stored.
• Coordinate with Engineering team members and other departments to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Report major or recurring faults and required spare parts to the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
• Follow hotel safety, environmental, and energy-conservation procedures.
• Handle, store, and dispose of refrigerants and technical materials in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist with general maintenance when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by Engineering management.
