HVAC Engineer role in the HVAC/contracting industry, with three years of UAE experience stated.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or MEP Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in HVAC/MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, testing and commissioning, and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and HVAC shop drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment selection, technical calculations, UAE construction practices, and consultant approval procedures.
- Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site teams; good communication and reporting skills.
- UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Design and technical work
- Prepare and review HVAC shop, coordination, and as-built drawings; review design drawings, schedules, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare material submittals and technical submissions for consultant/client approval.
- Select HVAC equipment and coordinate with suppliers for AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, DX units, pumps, fans, valves, and accessories.
- Perform cooling-load, airflow, duct-sizing, pipe-sizing, and equipment-capacity calculations.
- Coordinate HVAC works with architectural, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and structural services.
Site and project delivery
- Supervise HVAC installation at site and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, and installation quality.
- Inspect and test HVAC installations and coordinate consultant inspections and approvals.
- Prepare method statements, inspection requests, material inspection requests, testing and commissioning documents, and technical reports.
- Coordinate equipment installation, testing, commissioning, balancing, and handover.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems and support preventive and corrective maintenance when required.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, material requirements, technical/commercial inquiries, and progress reports; maintain project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, project specifications, and approved drawings.
Technical knowledge
- Technical skills include HVAC design and installation, testing and commissioning, troubleshooting, AutoCAD, quantity take-off, and material submittals.
- Listed technical knowledge includes AHU/FAHU/FCU, DX and split AC systems, chilled water systems, pumps and control valves, ductwork and insulation, TAB/air balancing, BMS controls, actuators, cooling-load and airflow calculations, shop drawings, and coordination drawings.
- Revit knowledge is listed.
Pay
- Pay is listed as AED 1,100–5,300 per month.
