HVAC ENGINEER

Position

Role responsibilities

• Prepare and review HVAC shop, coordination, and as-built drawings; review design drawings, equipment schedules, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare material submittals and technical submissions for approval; select equipment and coordinate with suppliers.
• Perform cooling-load, airflow, duct-sizing, pipe-sizing, and equipment-capacity calculations.
• Coordinate HVAC with architectural, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and structural services.
• Supervise site installation; monitor progress, manpower, materials, and quality; ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and testing; coordinate approvals, testing, commissioning, balancing, and handover.
• Prepare method statements, inspection requests, material inspection requests, testing and commissioning documents, and technical reports.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems, including AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, DX units, pumps, fans, control valves, thermostats, and BMS interfaces.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and project teams; prepare quantity take-offs, material requirements, and technical/commercial inquiries.
• Prepare progress reports and project documentation; ensure compliance with UAE regulations and project specifications; support maintenance and corrective troubleshooting when required.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or MEP Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in HVAC/MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, testing and commissioning, and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and HVAC shop drawings.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment selection, technical calculations, UAE construction practices, and consultant approval procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site teams; good communication and reporting skills.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred technical knowledge

• AHU, FAHU, and FCU; DX and split AC systems; chilled water systems; pumps and control valves.
• Ductwork and insulation; TAB/air balancing; BMS controls and HVAC actuators.
• Cooling-load and airflow calculations; material submittals; shop and coordination drawings.
• AutoCAD is listed as required knowledge; Revit knowledge is also listed.

Compensation

• Pay is listed as AED 1,100–5,300 per month.
