An HR Officer manages the full employee lifecycle, focusing on high-volume recruitment, compliance with Qatar Labor Law, visa processing, and worker welfare.
Key roles include managing payroll, handling employee relations, and coordinating training, often requiring experience with multinational workforces and site-based project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- **Recruitment & Mobilization:**
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, including bulk hiring for projects, visa application processing, and onboarding/offboarding for local and overseas employees.
- **Compliance & Labor Law:**
- Ensure strict adherence to Qatar Labor Law, handling QID (Qatar ID), medical checks, and governmental procedures, often in collaboration with a Public Relations Officer (PRO).
- **Payroll & Attendance:**
- Administer payroll, monitor employee attendance, and maintain accurate HR records using HRMS tools.
- **Employee Relations & Welfare:**
- Act as the primary contact for employee grievances, maintaining harmonious worker relations, and managing on-site camp welfare and accommodation standards.
- **Performance & Training:**
- Implement performance appraisal systems and coordinate employee training and development programs.
- **Systems Management**
- : Utilize ERP system modules to streamline HR processes, update employee databases, and generate accurate workforce reports.
Key Requirements
- **Experience:**
- 7-10 years of previous experience in the construction, or engineering sectors in Qatar is strongly preferred.
- **Knowledge:**
- Comprehensive understanding of Qatar Labor Law and visa regulations.
- **Skills:**
- Proficiency in English, MS Office, and computerized payroll systems.
- **Education:**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
