Role Description

The Human Resources Manager will oversee and coordinate HR activities for the EU-India Digital Policy Dialogue secretariat, ensuring compliant, fair, and transparent people management practices.

This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site presence and the possibility to work from home as agreed.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding, maintaining personnel records, supporting performance management processes, and coordinating contracts and HR documentation in line with organizational policies and local regulations.

The HR Manager will provide guidance on HR policies, support learning and development initiatives, and promote an inclusive, safe, and respectful workplace culture.

The role also involves collaborating closely with project leadership, finance, and administrative teams to align HR planning with project needs and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle administration.
  • Experience with HR policies, labor law compliance (preferably in the UAE), and HR documentation, including contracts, records, and reporting.
  • Skills in stakeholder management and collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to prepare clear HR documents, guidelines, and internal communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a project-based environment.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems and common office software (e.g., HRIS, MS Office or similar tools); experience in hybrid/remote work settings is an asset.
