Compensation

• Annual salary is $47,000–$51,000.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the HCM and people database, employee files, HR policies, and leave records.
• Prepare and track reports on absenteeism, performance management, and probation evaluations.
• Support attendance management, including reports, disciplinary steps, employee letters, supervisor communications, and system entries.
• Assist with hourly hiring, employee file completion, and system setup; process new hires and terminations in the HR database.
• Track service anniversary awards and gifts, coordinate swipe cards, and assist with employee events.
• Provide phone coverage when needed, respond to HR inquiries, and perform filing, scanning, and records organization.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in human resources or administrative roles.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; HRSS systems experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and time management; discretion with confidential information.
• Knowledge of HR functions and labour legislation, and experience in a unionized environment, are assets.
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
