The General Labourer supports daily plant operations and production activities.
The role contributes to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with unloading raw materials and support processing areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and the plant.
- Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow plant safety, sanitation, and food-safety procedures.
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and operational challenges to the Shift Manager.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Provide relief coverage for other General Labourers during breaks, vacation, and sickness.
- Operate forklifts safely and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, a strong work ethic, and safety awareness.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with health, safety, and food-safety procedures.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
- Forklift operating experience is required.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or general labour experience is considered an asset.
