Responsibilities
1.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies, utilizing safety management software to track findings and follow-up actions.
2.
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe work environment.
3.
Collaborate with management to create and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively across all levels of the organization.
4.
Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, while also preparing detailed reports for management review.
5.
Monitor and analyze safety performance data, using metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, ultimately enhancing the overall safety culture within the company.
6.
Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, ensuring all staff are familiar with procedures and can act swiftly in the event of an emergency.
7.
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive.
8.
Engage with external regulatory bodies and industry organizations to promote safety initiatives and represent the company at relevant conferences and workshops.
9.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees regarding health, safety, and environmental matters, fostering an environment where safety is prioritized and valued.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective training and reporting.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
