Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and programs.
• Provide guidance and leadership to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters
• Plan, organize, and deliver OHS training and awareness programs for employees and management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
• Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations
• Identify and stop unsafe acts, conditions, or processes that may pose a risk to personnel or property.
• Oversee safety aspects of construction activities, repairs, installations, and maintenance work
• Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, and emergencies, ensuring timely implementation of risk mitigation measures.
• Support incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Assist in managing workers’ compensation and injury-related claims
• Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training sessions
• Prepare and submit safety reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation as required.
