Gemini Building Contracting (GBC), a leading building contracting and interior fit-out company in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to join our growing team.
Job Location: Abu Dhabi
Salary: AED 8500 all inclisive
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, Abu Dhabi safety requirements, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA).
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training programs.
- Monitor site activities and enforce safe work practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a strong safety culture across project sites.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants on all HSE matters.
- Maintain HSE records, permits, inspection reports, and statutory documentation.
- Monitor compliance with work permits, lifting operations, working at height, excavation, hot work, and confined space activities.
- Support management in achieving project HSE objectives and zero-incident targets.
Requirements
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Knowledge of MSRA preparation is essential.
- ADOSH/OSHAD certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-3 years of UAE experience as an HSE Officer in building construction, fit-out, or contracting projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience in conducting site inspections, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project sites
