Overview

Gemini Building & Contracting is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Project Engineer

to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and delivering construction projects while ensuring compliance with technical, quality, safety, and budget requirements.

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Define project scope by translating client requirements, contract documents, and construction drawings into actionable project plans.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Gantt Charts, Critical Path Method (CPM), or other scheduling tools.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Review and submit Material Submittals (MSA) and Shop Drawings in accordance with project requirements.

Technical Design & Integration

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate clarifications between site teams, consultants, and design engineers.
  • Review and monitor material and equipment submittals to ensure compliance with approved project specifications.

Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Assist in project estimation, budgeting, and tender preparation activities.
  • Monitor project expenditures and resource utilization against approved budgets.
  • Review, document, and coordinate change orders and variations impacting project costs and schedules.

Communication & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison between project managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare project progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve technical issues, schedule conflicts, and project bottlenecks.

Quality Assurance & Safety (QA/QC)

  • Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Support implementation of company HSE policies and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes, including punch list management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
  • Experience with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
