Overview
We are seeking a highly competent HSE Manager / HSE Lead to act as the Contractor’s HSE Representative for QatarEnergy–related projects.
The role requires full compliance with QatarEnergy HSE Regulations, leadership of project HSE teams, and implementation of an ongoing HSE competence development program for the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Contractor’s HSE Representative in accordance with QatarEnergy requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with QatarEnergy HSE Regulations.
- Lead and supervise site HSE Advisors / Officers and ensure their competency alignment with QatarEnergy standards.
- Attend QatarEnergy HSE meetings as required and coordinate responses/actions.
- Facilitate and successfully pass QatarEnergy-administered interviews and HSE competency assessments.
- Lead incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, and continuous HSE improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary interface with QatarEnergy on all HSE-related matters.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent with relevant professional accreditation.
- Mandatory QatarEnergy approval as HSE Manager / HSE Lead / Senior HSE Engineer.
- One or more of the following Qualifications / Membership:
- NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
- CMIOSH – Chartered Member of IOSH
- Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Management
- MIIRSM – Member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years total experience in HSE within oil & gas, energy, or industrial projects.
- At least 5 years in a senior role such as HSE Lead / Senior HSE Engineer / HSE Manager on major projects.
- Prior experience working directly under QatarEnergy or equivalent national oil & gas operator standards is mandatory.
