Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental operations within our marine shipyard.
The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement across all shipyard activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and international maritime safety standards
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections across shipyard operations
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Provide HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to employees and contractors
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure proper waste management practices
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7–10 years of HSE experience, preferably in marine, shipyard, or offshore industry
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- NEBOSH IGC/ Diploma or equivalent certification (required)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills
- Experience managing large teams and contractors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or dry dock operations
- Certified Internal/Lead Auditor (ISO standards)
- Strong incident investigation and risk management expertise
