HSE Engineer

Role overview

HSE duties

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct site safety inspections, identify unsafe conditions, and carry out hazard identification, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable UAE safety regulations; monitor workers, subcontractors, and site activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions; monitor PPE and permit-to-work systems.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and records.
• Coordinate with site teams and management on safety matters; monitor housekeeping, access and egress, work at height, lifting, electrical safety, and other hazards.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, drills, and response procedures; report violations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project or site.

Candidate requirements

• NEBOSH qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of HSE experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, HSE, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of PPE, toolbox talks, safety inspections, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to prepare safety reports and maintain HSE documentation.
• Must currently be based in the UAE and able to work effectively in a site-based environment.
• Immediate joining is preferred.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 3,000–5,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

Workplace

• Work location is in person at project or site locations.
