Position Overview
KOREV Construction & General Contracting is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer for Abu Dhabi road construction and infrastructure projects.
The position is full-time and based in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific HSE management systems, plans, procedures, and programs.
- Prepare HSE plans, risk assessments, JSA/TRA documents, inspection reports, HSE reports, emergency plans, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ADOSH-SF, UAE legislation, ISO standards, environmental requirements, and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.
- Monitor Traffic Control Plans, temporary traffic diversions, work-zone safety, and road-user protection measures.
- Conduct site HSE inspections, safety observations, audits, and compliance inspections for active road construction areas.
- Conduct toolbox talks, daily safety briefings, HSE inductions, worker orientations, and task-specific training.
- Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and promote safety culture and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related discipline.
- Proven HSE Engineer experience in Abu Dhabi or UAE road construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of ADOSH-SF Codes of Practice and Abu Dhabi construction HSE requirements.
- NEBOSH Certificate and knowledge of ISO 45001 requirements.
- Experience with Traffic Control Plans, road diversions, work-zone safety, subcontractors, and construction-site HSE activities.
- Strong report-writing, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced road construction environment.
