As a
Housekeeping Supervisor
, you’re not just ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
- As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will support the Housekeeping Department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel.
- Specifically, a Housekeeping Floor Supervisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Responsible for smooth operation of the floor assigned.
- Responsible for the performance of housekeeping attendants.
- Supervise Housekeeping Attendants.
- Organizes and facilitates room making process.
- Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors and heart of the house area of the floor.
- Checks the occupied and departure rooms, giving special attention to guest needs.
- Ensures that the entire operation is performed as per the laid down standards.
- To organise immediately the guest needs under intimation to Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Executive Housekeepers and Senior Housekeeping Supervisors.
- Manage guest requests, including VIP amenities and communicating them to the relevant team members.
- Routine inspection of guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards.
- Routine inspection of public areas.
- Aware of all room categories and amenities.
- Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Carry out lost and found procedures.
- Report maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department.
- Assist with training requirements.
- Ensures that damages to hotel properties, furniture’s and other hotel items are immediately attended and reported to Senior Managers followed through with a log report at the end of the shift.
- Represent the needs of the team to others in the hotel.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
- Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management.
