Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Supervise housekeeping staff, assign duties, and monitor work performance.
• Develop cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality-control standards; conduct inspections.
• Manage cleaning supplies, equipment, inventory, and operating expenses.
• Prepare staff schedules and coordinate recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, safety, and company regulations.
• Coordinate with departments on cleaning and maintenance requirements; handle related complaints and issues.
• Maintain records of schedules, inspections, inventory, and staff performance.
• Identify ways to improve operational efficiency and service quality; perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; a diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous housekeeping experience; supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, hygiene standards, and workplace safety.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage staff, supplies, and competing priorities.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle complaints professionally.
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
