Housekeeping Attendant

Job purpose

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, rooms, corridors, reception areas, washrooms, staircases, and other designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces; clean and sanitize washrooms, kitchens, pantry areas, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste in designated bins; replenish soap, tissue paper, hand towels, and other supplies.
• Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and correctly, and keep materials and equipment in good condition.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists; report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, and supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow applicable health, safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures; handle client property, equipment, and confidential information responsibly.
• Respond to additional cleaning requests and other assigned housekeeping duties.

Qualifications and requirements

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions; basic knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
• Physically fit for routine cleaning activities; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good personal hygiene, punctuality, discipline, and professional behavior.
• Basic communication skills in English or the language required at the worksite.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays according to the agreed schedule.

Health, safety, and compliance

• Wear required uniform and personal protective equipment and follow approved procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals.
• Display warning signs when cleaning wet floors; never mix chemicals unless approved procedures permit it.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately; comply with company policies, client site rules, and applicable local regulations.

Performance and general conditions

Pay

• Pay is AED 1,000–1,500 per month.
