Position Overview

We are recruiting for a leading F&B company based in Downtown Dubai.

The Hostess / Guest Experience Assistant is responsible for creating an exceptional first impression for every guest visiting the restaurant.

Acting as the face of the venue, the role manages guest arrivals, reservations, seating arrangements, and guest communications while also providing operational support behind the bar and on the floor during busy service periods.

This position plays a key role in ensuring a seamless guest journey from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their table, lounge seating, or bar area.
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waiting lists while providing accurate wait-time information.
  • Maintain an organised seating plan to maximise guest comfort, service efficiency, and venue capacity.
  • Answer telephone calls, reservation enquiries, WhatsApp messages, and general guest requests professionally.
  • Coordinate closely with management, bartenders, and service staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences.
  • Monitor the entrance, reception area, and guest waiting spaces to ensure they remain clean, organised, and presentation-ready.
  • Assist with POS transactions, guest information updates, reservations, and administrative duties as required.
  • Resolve guest enquiries and concerns professionally, referring complex matters to management when appropriate.
  • Provide knowledgeable information about the venue, menu offerings, whisky experiences, events, promotions, and membership opportunities.
  • Manage guest lists and check-in procedures for private functions, launch events, and themed evenings.
  • Verify guest eligibility and support venue policies relating to age verification and responsible alcohol service.
  • Assist in maintaining the venue’s dress code and admission standards in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the delivery of the venue’s signature guest welcome ritual and overall customer journey.
  • Assist bartenders during service by preparing glassware, garnishes, ice stations, and other bar support duties.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests when required, ensuring service standards are maintained at all times.
  • Clear tables, reset seating areas, and assist with venue presentation throughout service.
  • Support opening and closing procedures across both front-of-house and bar operations.
  • Work flexibly between reception, floor service, and bar support functions depending on operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, luxury retail, premium food and beverage, hotels, lounges, bars, or similar customer-facing environments.
  • Experience in both guest reception and hospitality service is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance with strong personal presentation standards.
  • Friendly, confident, and approachable personality with a natural ability to engage guests.
  • Ability to remain calm, organised, and professional in a busy environment.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
  • Experience using reservation, booking, or POS systems is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is preferred.
  • Fluent spoken and written English required; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Must meet all legal requirements to work in licensed hospitality venues within the United Arab Emirates.

Reporting To

  • Assistant Manager and General Manager
  • Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
