Hospital Cleaner Job Description
Hospital cleaners maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, disposing of medical waste, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the hospital
- Collect and dispose of trash and hazardous materials
- Restock supplies in patient rooms and throughout the hospital
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor equipment issues
- Follow established safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and using caution around medical equipment
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
- Attend training sessions to learn proper cleaning techniques and stay up-to-date on safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to patient and staff requests in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand, walk, kneel and bend for long hours
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Attention to detail in cleaning and sanitizing hospital rooms and equipment
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
