About the role

Operations

• Transport supplier stock from the air cargo complex to the QDF warehouse for timely goods receipt.
• Move MOI- or Customs-inspected goods from airside to landside through the cargo complex and MOI gates.
• Operate commercial vehicles safely and legally, protect company assets, follow safety guidelines, and maintain airport vehicle documentation.
• Report transportation issues promptly to the supervisor to support timely resolution and scheduled delivery.
• Load and unload cages and pallets using truck tail lifts, manual handling, and pallet lifters.
• Clean vehicles and take them for scheduled maintenance.
• Submit written incident reports for accidents involving the driver or company vehicle.
• Perform other duties related to the position as directed by the department head.

Qualifications and requirements

• High school qualification with at least 1 year of job-related experience, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent with no prior job-related experience.
• Relevant vocational, tertiary, or trade qualification.
• Valid heavy-medium truck driving license.
• Able to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
• Must pass the AVOP course within 3 months of joining to drive airside.
• Understand and follow safety guidelines.
• Able to lift, move, and manoeuvre goods up to 75 kg and pull heavy stock carts.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and reach frequently throughout the shift and drive for long hours.

Preferred qualifications

• Qatar medium truck driving license is preferred.
• Arabic language skills are preferred.
• Retail product knowledge is preferred.
• Mercedes Mallaghan truck operation training is preferred.
