General transport duties

  • Perform transportation duties on approved schedules and routes, following standard procedures and operational instructions.
  • Protect passengers, materials, equipment, and catering items during transit to prevent damage, loss, or safety incidents.
  • Follow UAE road traffic laws, company transport policies, health and safety standards, and site-specific safety regulations.
  • Inspect vehicles before trips; ensure they are clean, roadworthy, and ready for use, and promptly report defects or breakdowns.
  • Maintain trip logs, inspection records, delivery records, and incident reports.
  • Report incidents, near misses, delays, route deviations, and operational risks promptly.

Employee transportation

  • Transport employees between accommodation, workplaces, and designated pickup and drop-off locations safely and punctually.
  • Follow assigned rosters, trip schedules, and route plans to maintain uninterrupted service.
  • Maintain a respectful, orderly, and secure travel environment and follow transport conduct rules.

Materials and logistics transportation

  • Transport materials, equipment, and supplies between warehouses, production units, and operational locations.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload goods while protecting cargo throughout the logistics process.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and receiving teams to verify quantities, documents, and handovers.
  • Meet delivery timelines and communicate delays, risks, or route deviations.

Qualifications and experience

  • High school certificate or equivalent qualification is required.
  • A valid UAE Category 4 heavy truck driving license and successful completion of the company driving test are mandatory.
  • At least three years of relevant driving experience is required.
  • Experience as a truck driver or in a similar role in logistics, transport, aviation, or an industrial environment.

Skills and work requirements

  • Proficient in written and spoken English, with good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of vehicle inspections and preventive checks, including tire pressure, oil, and water levels.
  • Able to operate fully loaded vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Security Pass (RASP).
  • Physically fit for manual handling, including bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and ladder use.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
  • Knowledge of first aid, safety procedures, and basic firefighting is preferred.
