Heavy Driver/Light Driver - Construction Field

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, trailers, water tankers, dump trucks, and other assigned heavy or light vehicles.
• Transport construction materials, equipment, tools, goods, and personnel to and from project sites.
• Secure loads and follow assigned routes, schedules, and delivery instructions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, basic care, and accurate trip, delivery, fuel, and inspection records.
• Coordinate transportation needs with Site Supervisors, Logistics, and other departments.
• Assist with loading and unloading, report incidents, and park vehicles securely when not in use.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Qatar heavy vehicle driving license and light driving license.
• Three to five years of Heavy Driver experience, preferably in construction.
• Knowledge of Qatar roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Experience operating heavy trucks and construction-related vehicles.
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge.
• Physical fitness, safe driving habits, and ability to work in construction or site environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain proper documentation.
• Previous Qatar or GCC experience is preferred.

• Attention to detail for load security and safe driving.
• Time management for meeting delivery schedules.
• Adaptability to dust, heat, uneven terrain, and varying site conditions.
• Physical stamina for long hours and handling heavy loads.

Work Environment

• Work is primarily outdoors on construction sites.
• The role involves exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions.
• The role requires adherence to Personal Protective Equipment standards.
