Oversee health and safety protocols, inspections, incident investigations, training, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of health and safety protocols in the engineering department.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to support a consistent, comprehensive approach to safety.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide colleagues with training on health and safety procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- Promote a culture of safety among colleagues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations.
- Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in line with organisational policies.
