Job Scope

As the Hotel Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant environment for guests, staff, and visitors.

Your role

is crucial in maintaining high standards of safety, health, and hygiene within the hotel premises.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

  • Identify potential health and safety hazards within the hotel premises and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for various scenarios.
  • Training and Education:
  • Provide health and safety training to staff members, ensuring they are aware of protocols and procedures to follow in case of emergencies.
  • Organize regular training sessions and workshops to promote a culture of safety within the hotel.

Incident Management

  • Respond promptly to health and safety incidents, accidents, or emergencies, and investigate the root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
  • Hygiene and Sanitation:
  • Oversee cleanliness and sanitation practices in all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Communicate health and safety updates, regulations, and best practices to all staff members.
  • Prepare regular reports on health and safety performance, compliance status, and recommendations for improvement.
