About This Role
Job Scope:
As an Engineering Coordinator you play a key role in supporting engineering projects by coordinating activities, facilitating communication between team members, and assisting in project management tasks. This position involves organizing project schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring that engineering teams operate efficiently to meet project goals and deadlines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating engineering projects by organizing project schedules, tracking milestones, and ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and technical specifications, to track project progress and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Generate reports on project performance, milestones achieved, and potential risks or issues to support decision-making and project planning.
Resource Management:
- Assist in resource allocation, task assignment, and scheduling of engineering team members to optimize productivity, balance workloads, and meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with project leads and managers to identify resource needs, track resource utilization, and adjust staffing as required to support project goals.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Support quality assurance processes by monitoring project deliverables, conducting reviews, and ensuring that engineering work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies to maintain quality, safety, and consistency in engineering projects.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to align project requirements, integrate efforts, and deliver cohesive solutions.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between engineering teams and other departments to ensure alignment on project objectives and successful project outcomes.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to engineering teams, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence to facilitate efficient project operations.
- Assist in budget tracking, procurement, and invoicing processes to support financial management and cost control for engineering projects.
Education, Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or engineering disciplines are a plus.
- Previous experience in project coordination, engineering support, or technical administration within an engineering environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools, collaboration software, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a proactive approach to supporting engineering projects and teams.
