Head of Supply Chain

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for advanced UAV manufacturing and engineering programs.

This role is critical in ensuring material readiness, supplier reliability, and manufacturing-driven sourcing strategies that directly support prototyping, production, and scale-up operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership in procurement, supplier development, and industrial sourcing within complex engineering or manufacturing environments .

Role Overview

The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for building and managing a robust, efficient, and scalable supply chain function that ensures timely availability of all materials, components, and services required for engineering and production activities.

You will work closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration between design requirements and supply chain execution.

Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Strategy & Ownership

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, sourcing, and supplier management
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with manufacturing and production requirements
• Ensure supply chain readiness for prototyping, testing, pre-series, and full production phases

Procurement Management

• Manage RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and purchase order execution
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and governance frameworks
• Monitor procurement timelines to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services
• Maintain complete and audit-ready procurement documentation

Supplier Management & Development

• Develop and manage an approved supplier base
• Evaluate supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and compliance
• Build long-term strategic relationships with key manufacturing suppliers
• Implement dual sourcing strategies for critical components
• Drive supplier capability development to meet production and quality requirements

Manufacturing & Industrial Sourcing

• Lead sourcing for critical and long-lead manufacturing components
• Drive early supplier involvement in collaboration with engineering teams
• Support make-or-buy decisions for production components
• Identify and mitigate supply risks affecting scalability and production continuity

Logistics & Inventory Coordination

• Coordinate with logistics teams for shipping, clearance, and delivery operations
• Align procurement planning with warehouse and inventory availability
• Ensure visibility and tracking of critical materials across supply chain stages

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams
• Act as the central coordination point for all procurement-related activities
• Ensure alignment between design requirements and supply chain execution

Reporting & Governance

• Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, risks, and supplier status
• Ensure full compliance with procurement policies and Delegation of Authority
• Maintain transparency and audit readiness across all supply chain activities

What We Are Looking For Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, UAV, or industrial environments is highly preferred

Skills

• Strong procurement and supplier management expertise
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo or similar)
• Strong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage complex supply networks and industrial sourcing requirements
• Strong documentation and reporting capability
