Head of Serial Production

Overview

Production Planning & Execution

• Lead and manage daily serial production activities to ensure continuous and stable production flow.
• Execute approved production plans aligned with delivery schedules, output targets, and customer requirements.
• Monitor production performance against schedules and KPIs, ensuring targets are met.
• Take an active, hands‑on role in resolving operational issues and production disruptions.

Industrialization & Production Readiness

• Support and execute the transition from prototype and development builds into stable serial production.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure production readiness.
• Implement standardized, repeatable, and scalable production processes.
• Ensure production layouts, workflows, and tools support consistency and efficiency.

Operational Performance & KPIs

• Track daily production performance including output, efficiency, quality, and on‑time delivery.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and constraints affecting production flow.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain stable performance.
• Ensure alignment between actual production results and defined operational objectives.

Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured improvement tools.
• Reduce waste, downtime, and rework through practical process optimization.
• Support a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams.
• Align production execution with material availability and technical readiness.
• Support fast resolution of technical or operational issues impacting production.

Resource & Capacity Management

• Manage manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Maintain production capacity plans aligned with demand.
• Identify capacity constraints and support implementation of practical solutions.

Cost, Quality & Compliance

• Monitor and control production‑related costs.
• Support cost‑efficiency initiatives without compromising quality or delivery.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, and internal procedures.
• Support compliance with applicable industry and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop production teams to ensure accountability and performance.
• Define workforce needs in line with production plans.
• Support training, development, and performance evaluation of production staff.
• Foster a results‑driven, execution‑focused production environment.

Reporting & Governance

• Ensure accurate and timely production reporting.
• Maintain visibility of operational performance, risks, and constraints.
• Provide structured updates and reports to management.

Decision Authority (Within Defined Scope)

• Execute approved production plans and schedules.
• Make day‑to‑day operational decisions related to production execution and resource use.
• Escalate strategic, structural, or budget‑related topics as required.
• Accountable for achieving defined production KPIs within assigned responsibility.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related field.
• **7–10 years of experience**
• in manufacturing or production environments.
• Proven experience in serial or mass production operations.
• Experience managing production teams.
• Solid understanding of production planning, process optimization, and quality systems.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

• Experience in
