Overview
- The Head of Sales – Domestic supports the sales department in driving and executing the commercial strategy for the UAE domestic market.
- The role focuses on achieving revenue and attendance targets from key domestic segments including Schools, Corporate, Government, Events/MICE, Hotels, and stakeholders.
- The position oversees daily sales operations, strengthens key domestic partnerships, identifies new business opportunities, and ensures that domestic sales initiatives are executed efficiently and in alignment with AD Portfolio (teamLab Phenomena and Qasr Al Watan and extended new projects) commercial objectives.
- The role is central to market engagement, forecasting, and driving high-performing relationships across the domestic channels.
- This role is based Miral Destinations Headquarters, requiring regular presence and coordination across all locations to ensure unified commercial strategy, consistent execution, and seamless integration of on-site operations with central support functions.
- Commercial responsibilities
- Execute the domestic commercial plan set by the Sales Director to maximize revenue and attendance from UAE-based segments.
- Manage and grow domestic sales channels including Schools, Corporate, Government, Hotels, Events/MICE, and Educational institutions.
- Identify new domestic business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Support product development and packaging aimed at increasing participation from schools, corporates, and domestic segments.
- Conduct regular sales visits, meetings, and business reviews with top domestic accounts.
- Represent Miral Destinations at domestic trade events, conferences, and community outreach programs.
- Monitor local competitor activity and market trends to contribute to strategic planning.
- Ensure accurate CRM usage, lead tracking, and pipeline management for all domestic accounts.
Leadership & Team Support Responsibilities
- Guide and support the domestic sales team to ensure strong execution of sales targets and KPIs.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance development for team members.
- Conduct regular team performance reviews and report outcomes to the Sales Director.
- Encourage accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of domestic sales roles as required.
- B2B Marketing responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Marketing team to execute domestic trade marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Support B2B activations, school outreach programs, and corporate engagement initiatives.
- Organize familiarization trips, workshops, and onsite partner sessions.
- Track marketing campaign performance and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure alignment between domestic commercial needs and marketing content.
- Strategic responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of long-term domestic commercial strategies.
- Prepare market insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Support pricing strategies, tactical promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and domestic sales performance planning.
- Ensure alignment between domestic sales, Operations, Guest Experience, and Finance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
- Business Planning responsibilities
- Support annual and multi-year domestic sales planning.
- Contribute to defining revenue and attendance targets for domestic segments.
- Conduct competitor and industry analysis for UAE market insights.
- Monitor performance trends and report risks or opportunities.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans for the team.
CSR & Community Engagement Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of CSR initiatives that align with AD Portfolio assets mission in conservation, education, and community involvement.
- Build partnerships with schools, corporates, and government entities to promote CSR-focused programs and activities.
- Coordinate and promote community engagement events, educational outreach, and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure CSR initiatives are effectively communicated to partners and integrated into domestic sales opportunities.
- Track CSR-related performance and prepare reports highlighting participation, impact, and engagement outcomes.
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5–6 years of experience in attractions, tourism, or hospitality with international market knowledge
- Arabic Speaker
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Strong knowledge of UAE domestic travel trade, schools, government, and corporate ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of UAE culture, values, traditions, and business etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building capability.
- Ability to analyze performance data and prepare insightful reports.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
Desirable
- Master’s degree
- Additional training in sales, business development, or tourism
- Experience leading teams or managing key accounts.
- Experience working within UAE or GCC markets.
- Arabic language skills (spoken and written) are essential.
- Experience in attractions, theme parks, cultural destinations, or hospitality.
- Exposure to MICE or event-based sales.
