We are currently recruiting a
Head of Risk
for an Insurance company based in
Abu Dhabi, UAE
.
This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and drive the risk management function within a dynamic and regulated Insurance environment in Abu Dhabi
.
Job Purpos
e:The Head of Risk is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s enterprise risk management framework.
The role ensures compliance with UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) regulations, strengthens risk governance, and supports sustainable business growth through effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategie
s.
Key Responsibilit
- iesDevelop, implement, and continuously enhance the enterprise risk management framework in line with CBUAE requiremen
- ts.Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across underwriting, claims, market, and investment portfoli
- os.Maintain and monitor the corporate risk register, ensuring timely reporting of key risks to senior manageme
- nt.Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory and legal requiremen
- ts.Analyze policies and portfolios to assess risk exposure, pricing adequacy, and profitabili
- ty.Manage capital adequacy and overall risk exposure in line with regulatory expectatio
- ns.Apply advanced risk modelling tools for data-driven decision-maki
- ng.Oversee claims management and reserving processes to ensure accuracy and efficien
- cy.Identify and mitigate cybersecurity and data protection ris
- ks.Design and implement reinsurance strategies to minimize large or catastrophic loss
- es.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote loss prevention and risk reduction initiativ
- es.Oversee third-party and vendor risk management framewor
- ks.Deliver risk management training, awareness programs, and guidance across the organizati
