Key Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Independent System Monitoring framework in accordance with EASA Part 21
- Develop an audit plan and conduct audits, reviews, and performance assessments of all DOA processes, including design control, compliance verification, and airworthiness activities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and track the resolution of audit findings.
- Report findings, observations, and trends to senior management, recommending improvements to strengthen compliance and reduce risk.
- Maintain records of monitoring activities, findings, and follow-up actions.
- Liaise with Quality Assurance, Safety, Airworthiness, Program Management, and other stakeholders to coordinate monitoring activities and ensure transparent communication.
- Evaluate systems and processes related to Part21J and contribute to improvements that reinforce compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Define, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System supporting the Design Organisation.
- Establish and monitor quality and compliance requirements for suppliers, subcontractors, and partners contributing to design and certification activities.
- Ensure that the configuration management and document control processes support traceability and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications in quality, auditing, or compliance are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation compliance, system monitoring, auditing, or quality assurance roles.
- Experience in certification environments (EASA DOA, Part 21J) and familiarity with auditing complex engineering processes.
- Experience supporting or overseeing Type Certification or major design change programmes
- Proficient in independent auditing and compliance assessment techniques.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with certification guidelines, such as DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, CS-UAS etc.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 21 or GCAA CAR 21
