Head of Patents / MENA

Lead and oversee all aspects of the regional Patent practice across the MENA region.

Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Monitor departmental KPIs and performance metrics to ensure targets are consistently achieved.

Manage the Patent practice budget and financial performance in coordination with senior leadership.

Contribute to executive-level strategic planning, growth initiatives, and business expansion efforts.

Establish and maintain service standards that ensure high productivity, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Drive revenue growth through client retention, cross-selling opportunities, and new business development.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders across the region.

Identify market opportunities and contribute to the expansion of Patent-related services.

Support the organization's commercial objectives through proactive business development initiatives.

Provide high-level Patent advice, strategic guidance, and technical expertise to clients and internal stakeholders.

Oversee complex Patent matters and ensure the delivery of high-quality professional services.

Act as a subject matter expert and represent the Patent practice with credibility and professionalism.

Share knowledge and best practices across teams to strengthen technical capabilities.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Patent operations and service delivery processes.

Promote the adoption of technology, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency and client service.

Ensure operational processes remain aligned with industry best practices and business objectives.

Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives within the Patent practice.

Lead, mentor, coach, and develop Patent professionals and paralegal teams across the MENA region.

Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.

Support succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.

Promote positive working practices and a collaborative regional culture.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

Extensive senior-level experience in Patent practice management, including leadership of Patent operations across multiple jurisdictions within the MENA region.

: Proven experience leading Patent teams and managing regional operations at a senior management, Partner, Director, or equivalent leadership level.

: Demonstrated success in client relationship management, business development, revenue growth, and strategic planning.

: Strong Patent advisory experience with the ability to provide strategic legal and technical guidance.

: Strong understanding of technology platforms, digital transformation initiatives, and AI-driven solutions.

: Excellent executive-level communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

: Fluency in English is required.
