Head of Operations at School

The Head of Operations exercises executive authority over a diverse portfolio of non-academic departments at our School.

The mandate is to ensure these functions operate with collective efficacy, moving away from traditional silos toward a unified support ecosystem.

***Note: We are looking for candidates with prior work expereionce in International School in GCC/Worldwide.***

The Head of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for leading all non-academic functions of the school, ensuring smooth and effective operations, regulatory compliance, and a supportive environment for staff and the wider ISL Qatar community.

This includes oversight of Front Office & Office Support, Finance, Human Resources, Advancement, Facilities, IT (non academic operations), and the First Aid Unit.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a sophisticated understanding of how complex organizations function within an international context.

They must possess the gravitas to influence at the Senior Leadership Team level and the empathy to lead a diverse, multicultural workforce.

The Head of Operations should be a caring, inspirational, adaptable, and innovative leader, as well as an outstanding motivator, administrator, and communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

A key competency is the ability to work collaboratively, valuing collective capacity over traditional hierarchies, while nurturing the professional learning and growth of all non academic and operational staff.

The successful candidate will play a major role within the Senior Leadership Team, providing high level strategic advisory input to the Head of School and contributing to the overall direction of the school.

They will bring a broad range of qualities and competencies, along with a proven track record of leading operational departments in complex international environments.
