Role overview

Strategy and operating model

• Develop and execute integration strategy and target operating model.
• Set priorities, sequencing, and transformation objectives across business functions; review plans for strategic alignment.
• Drive operating-model transformation, process simplification, digitization, automation, and resource optimization.
• Lead product and customer proposition integration, portfolio optimization, pricing harmonization, and channel integration.
• Lead integration across operations, customer service, contact centre, finance, HR, procurement, compliance, and support functions.
• Standardize processes, controls, governance, and service delivery models; approve target-state operating models and initiatives.

Governance, risk, and value realization

• Lead governance forums and manage relationships with senior executives, business leaders, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee progress, dependencies, and risks; resolve cross-functional issues and remove strategic blockers.
• Embed regulatory, compliance, audit, legal, conduct, and operational resilience obligations in integration activities.
• Own revenue, cost, operational, and customer synergy realization; challenge assumptions and validate business cases.
• Monitor benefits against targets, intervene when delivery is at risk, and hold workstreams accountable.
• Support executive communications and Board-level reporting; update the Head of Integration on value realization.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 18 years of experience, including 8 years in banking or financial services and 5 years leading large transformation or integration programs.
• Merger and acquisition integration experience is mandatory.
• Prior retail banking experience covering cards, loans, and liabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Consulting background and an MBA are preferred.
• PMP or PRINCE2 and CSM or SAFe Agile certification are listed qualifications; Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
