Role overview

Integration strategy and delivery

• Lead integration strategy, target operating model delivery, priorities, sequencing, and transformation objectives.
• Review integration plans for strategic alignment and lead operating-model transformation and synergy initiatives.
• Govern integration workstreams, delivery progress, dependencies, benefits, and strategic decision-making.
• Align business, operations, product, and technology transformation initiatives; remove blockers and escalate major risks.

Products, customers, and operations

• Lead product and customer proposition integration, product portfolio optimization, pricing harmonization, and channel integration.
• Identify and realize revenue, customer, operational, and cost synergies; sponsor supporting business cases.
• Lead integration across operations, customer service, contact centre, finance, HR, procurement, compliance, and support functions.
• Standardize processes, controls, governance, and service delivery; sponsor digitization, automation, and process simplification.

Governance, risk, and value realization

• Manage senior executive, business leader, regulator, and stakeholder relationships; resolve cross-functional conflicts and delivery risks.
• Oversee integration risk management and review mitigation strategies for critical risks.
• Embed regulatory, compliance, audit, legal, conduct, and operational resilience obligations in integration activities.
• Validate synergy assumptions and business cases, monitor benefits, hold workstreams accountable, and report value realization to the Head of Integration.
• Support executive communications and Board-level reporting.

Experience and qualifications

• 18+ years of experience, including 8+ years in banking or financial services and 5+ years leading large transformation or integration programs.
• Merger and acquisition integration experience is mandatory.
• Prior retail banking experience covering cards, loans, and liabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
• Consulting background and an MBA are preferred.
• PMP or PRINCE2; Agile certification such as CSM or SAFe; Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
