Lead a bank's Data Office and enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, and management capabilities.
Establish a robust data framework, improve data quality, and ensure data is managed as a strategic asset across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee data governance, data management, data quality, and data strategy; develop and implement enterprise-wide frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Drive data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Establish data quality controls, monitoring processes, and reporting standards across business functions.
- Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and business leadership to improve data accessibility, integrity, and utilisation.
- Lead and develop a high-performing data governance and management team.
Candidate requirements
- Extensive experience in data governance, data management, and enterprise data strategy within banking or financial services.
- Proven leadership experience establishing or transforming a Data Office within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory data requirements, data quality frameworks, and best practices such as DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and compliance functions.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and organisational transformation capabilities.
