Location and work arrangement

  • Ottawa and Toronto, Canada: hybrid work.
  • Other Canadian locations: remote work.

About the role

Lead Architects, Algorithm Developers, and Operations Research specialists addressing complex supply chain challenges.

The role combines people leadership, technical leadership, and strategic influence in optimization, machine learning, analytics, and mathematical modelling.

What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership in optimization, machine learning, mathematical modelling, simulation, and algorithm development.
  • Guide analytical approaches to customer and product challenges, and influence platform strategy and architecture.
  • Partner across Product Management, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to solve supply chain problems.
  • Lead research, experimentation, and prototyping to inform future product capabilities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and champion scalable, maintainable, production-ready solutions.
  • Lead and develop the specialist team; foster innovation, technical excellence, learning, and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, and career development.
  • Set the vision, priorities, and operating model for the function.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in Operations Research, optimization, machine learning, mathematical modelling, decision science, algorithm development, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success applying advanced analytical techniques to complex business and customer challenges.
  • Experience defining technical vision, influencing strategy, and driving adoption of innovative solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate across Product Management, Engineering, and customer-facing teams.
  • Track record coaching and developing senior technical talent.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
  • An advanced degree in a listed related field is an asset.
