Candidate profile
- Bring 8–10+ years of banking experience with a reputable regional or international bank.
- Have strong expertise in Corporate Banking and Credit Risk Management.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- CFA, FRM, CMA, or a relevant master's qualification would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities
- Lead credit approval for the Corporate Banking Private Sector and Middle Market portfolio.
- Ensure Credit Proposals meet internal policies, UAE Central Bank regulations, and required turnaround times.
- Oversee due diligence and assessment of complex exposures, including risk, deviations, IFRS/ECL, and capital implications.
- Monitor portfolio performance and exceptions such as excesses, past dues, expired facilities, and covenant breaches.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Credit Management team.
- Collaborate with Business, Risk, Legal, Shari'ah, CAD, Operations, and other stakeholders on credit and portfolio risk matters.
