Head Chef for Specialty Coffee Shop & Restaurant

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • At least 7 years of proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine, with the ability to integrate Middle Eastern flavors.
  • Expertise in menu development, food pairing, and culinary innovation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Culinary degree or professional chef certification.
  • Familiarity with modern cooking techniques and presentation styles.
  • Previous experience working in Qatar or the GCC region.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with management, staff, and customers.
  • Willing to relocate to Qatar

Sous Chef for Specialty Coffee Shop & Restaurant

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu development and execution, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance during service.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet restaurant standards.
  • Manage inventory, stock rotation, and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Train and mentor junior staff to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and management team to enhance customer experience.
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine with an appreciation for Middle Eastern flavors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support the Head Chef in achieving culinary goals.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willing to relocate to Qatar
