Facility and guest responsibilities
- Clean fitness machines, recreation areas, restrooms, and showers; remove towels, trash, and debris.
- Maintain cups and water; fold and stack towels; distribute lockers and towels to guests.
- Inventory supplies, materials, and equipment and report low stock to a supervisor or manager.
- Provide information about recreation facilities and activities and promote a fun, relaxing guest atmosphere.
- Communicate and enforce facility rules for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
- Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines for defects.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
- Follow company policies, protect confidential information and company assets, maintain appearance, and meet quality standards.
- Perform extended standing or walking, lift or move objects up to 50 pounds, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Required qualifications
- CPR certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Fitness equipment knowledge.
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is specified as necessary.
