GSOC Specialist

Overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor world events through open-source intelligence, social media, and client-specific intelligence tools.
• Monitor badge usage and visitor activity for irregularities, unauthorized access, and potential security breaches.
• Escalate employee welfare, global, operational, and critical incidents to security management.
• Maintain incident logs and operate CCTV, alarms, and related security equipment.
• Assist with emergency response plans and provide information and coordination during crises.
• Develop training programs for new operators and prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Conduct system checks, liaise with external agencies, and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Additional certification in security or a related field is preferred.
• Previous security operations center experience is advantageous.
• Two to four years of experience applies to GSOC Operator roles, while four to eight years applies to GSOC Senior Operator roles.
• Candidates need proficiency with security systems and software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
• The role requires discretion with confidential information, regular computer use, extended sitting, and travel as necessary.
