  • We are looking to appoint a Group CFO who will be responsible for leading and aligning financial operations across the Group’s diverse portfolio, spanning real estate and development, construction, hospitality assets, Austrian Business Centers, and Shipbuilding, ensuring strong financial control, strategic growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Project finance:
  • Oversee financial management of all projects, ensuring effective planning, allocation, and control of project-specific cash flows.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project cash flow forecasts, aligning funding requirements with project timelines and milestones.
  • Structure and secure project financing, including debt, equity, and alternative funding sources, in line with organizational strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and other funding partners to support project financing needs.
  • Evaluate financing options and negotiate terms to optimize cost of capital and financial risk exposure.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, costs, revenues, and profitability, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure timely availability of funds across multiple concurrent projects, balancing liquidity and capital efficiency.
  • Assess financial risks at the project level and implement mitigation strategies, including hedging, guarantees, and contractual protections.
  • Collaborate with project, commercial, and legal teams to structure financially sound project agreements and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all financing agreements, covenants, and reporting requirements.
  • Lead financial due diligence, feasibility analysis, and investment appraisal for new projects.
  • Establish and improve project finance processes, controls, and reporting systems to enhance transparency and decision-making.

Accounts Payable Operations

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable processes for the companies within the group, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and vendor management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Implement and maintain best practices and standard operating procedures for accounts payable.

Cost Center Management

  • Monitor and manage cost centers across the group of companies to ensure accurate allocation of expenses.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and maintain cost center budgets.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on cost center performance to senior management.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and external regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of accounts payable processes to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and facilitate audit processes.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts payable reports to senior management.
  • Analyze accounts payable data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accounting principles

Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounts payable processes through automation and technology.
  • Lead initiatives to implement new systems or tools that improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable management.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate payment terms and resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis, developing budgets and forecasts

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring their professional development
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the real estate industry

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CFO/Finance Director/similar role in the real estate sector and/or construction sectors with the UAE.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA/CPA) is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the luxury real estate market and industry dynamics
