Role Description
We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial architecture of Diacente Group. The CFO will play a critical role in structuring capital for large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects, managing investor relations, and ensuring financial sustainability across multiple business units and geographies.The CFO will also be responsible for leading a team of finance professionals and ensuring excellent standards of financial operations across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and execution across all Diacente Group entities and projects
- Structure capital from Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), private equity, venture capital, and institutional investors
- Lead financial modeling, project finance structuring, and investment analysis for large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects
- Build and manage relationships with DFIs (e.g., IFC, AfDB, World Bank), commercial banks, and global investors
- Oversee treasury management, risk management, and financial governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements
- Support project development teams with bankable feasibility studies and financial structuring
- Lead due diligence processes for investments, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Develop and implement systems for financial transparency, reporting, and performance tracking
- Advise the CEO and Board on strategic financial decisions and long-term growth planning
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred)
- Proven experience in infrastructure finance, project finance, or large-scale investment management
- Strong track record working with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and international investors
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, capital structuring, and investment strategy
- Experience operating across African markets
- Strong understanding of ESG, impact investing, and sustainable finance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to raise significant capital (debt and equity) for large projects
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
