Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, and approved specifications; check quantities, quality, freshness, packaging, and expiry dates.
- Identify and report damaged, incorrect, short, or rejected items; verify delivery documents and maintain receiving records.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, Stores, Kitchen, and operational teams on deliveries.
- Handle, label, and transfer goods to storage; monitor temperature-controlled deliveries and food safety.
- Record received items accurately in relevant systems, assist with stock counts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized receiving area and comply with company procedures, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Communicate with suppliers and delivery teams about discrepancies; support receiving-related queries and follow-ups.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Goods Receiver, Receiving Clerk, Storekeeper, or in a similar hospitality role.
- Restaurant, hotel, or hospitality-group experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of F&B products, including fresh produce, meat, seafood, beverages, and dry goods.
- Understanding of receiving, inventory, and stock control procedures; basic familiarity with inventory or purchasing systems.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, time management, and ability to identify quality, quantity, and specification discrepancies.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and good communication and coordination skills.
- Fluency in English and Turkish.
- Previous Dubai or UAE hospitality experience is preferred.
