Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized **General Ledger Accountant** to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general accounting and excellent Excel skills to manage and analyze financial data.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
+ Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
+ Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
+ Assist with internal and external audits.
+ Use advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and create reports.
+ Periodic reconciliation of GL ledgers and sub ledgers.
+ Prepare a checklist of monthly accrual and amortization expenses.
+ Ensure proper posting of entries in the right GL of respective departments.
+ Ensure timely payment and replenishment utilities and Government related accounts.
+ Prepare correspondence accounts entries related to employee payroll and benefits.
Experience & Educational Qualifications required
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Certification in Accounting will be an added advantage (CMA / CPA).
+ Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Ledger accountant.
+ In-depth knowledge of accruals, reconciliation, and period end closing process.
+ Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
+ Working knowledge of Infor M3 will be an added advantage.
+ Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
+ Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
+ Strong Communication Skills in English, Arabic will be an added advantage.
