General Technician (Carpenter)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and systems to technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters and circuit testers.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
• Analyze circuit diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation to identify system requirements and potential issues.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and equipment.
• Test and inspect electrical systems for functionality and safety compliance.
• Keep records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate schedules and project completion with team members and supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Stay current with UAE electrical codes, industry standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, installation, or repair.
• Proficiency using electrical diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, wiring practices, and UAE electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Competency with electrical hand and power tools.
• Organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Electrical certification or license is preferred, depending on UAE requirements.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment care; commitment to workplace safety.
